Mitt Romney is taking a page right out of Barack Obama’s campaign playbook – he’s making a strong play for America’s most important group – pie-lovers.
On Romney’s recent campaign stops, he made pies at Sweetie-licious pie shop in Michigan.
“I love rhubarb pie. I love coconut-cream and banana-cream pie. I loved good apple pie, cherry pie, blueberry pie. I just like pies.”
There you have it folks. Once again, it all comes down to pie. But how will we choose between two pie-loving candidates? President Obama had a stronghold on pie-lovers in the 2008 election since John McCain was clearly more devoted to the cupcake. But it’s a whole different ball game in 2012, and Romney has come out swinging.
John McCain lost the 2008 election after taking a strong stance as a cupcake guy.
