The Portland Pie Off returns for another year (no, not that Portland Pie Off, the other one) on Saturday, August 4.
The organizers have a celebrity panel of judges that includes representatives from Lovejoy Bakers, Random Order, Whiffies, Pacific Pie Co., Cellar Door Coffee and a “super secret guest”. Nice lineup! Entertainment will be provided by Toucan Sam and the Fruit Loops, a local 20 person “ukulele party”.
The categories are Sweet: Fruit and Non-Fruit, Savory, Creative Masterpiece, Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice.
Location: Colonel Summers Park on the SW side of the park with the covered area at SE 17th and Taylor
Time: August 4, 1 to 4 p.m. Judging is from 1 to 2 p.m. and pie is served to the public after 2 p.m.
To Enter: Bring a pie, eat some pie. Bring your pies by 1 p.m.
