If you’re heading out to the Spring Beer & Wine Festival at the Oregon Convention Center this Friday or Saturday, stop by the Pie Spot booth and get your pie on.
They’re not listed as a food vendor, but I assume they will have some sort of pies for purchase or for sampling. They are selling samples for $1, and personal size pies for $4 (thanks to Mike from Pouregon for the info!).
Pie Spot doesn’t have a storefront yet, but their goods are offered at the following venues in Portland:
Pine State Biscuits
Hillsboro Tuesday Farmers Market
Press Club Cafe
Palio Espresso and Dessert House
The Victory Bar
Stumptown on Belmont Street
Stumptown on Division Street
Portland = Pietown?
Well, I’m not the only one saying it now. Gina Hyams, an East Coast-based pie writer has recently done interviews with Portland-based Beth Howard of theworldneedsmorepie.com, and Tricia Martin, the founder of Portland’s “Pietopia” contest.
In the interview with Martin, Hyams referred to Portland as “Pie Nirvana”.
That’s right, we’re definitely Beervana & potentially Pie Nirvana. Does it get any better than that? Maybe if we were Bacon Valhalla, too?
