Strasburg Learns About Baseball’s Pie Tradition

Stephen Strasburg, last year’s number one pick in the MLB draft, made his Major League debut last night and wowed the sellout Washington Nationals crowd (a rarity). Strasburg struck out 14 in his first appearance, an impressive feat. After the game, Strasburg learned about baseball’s pie-in-the-face tradition.

Normally baseball players get a shaving cream pie when they hit a walk-off home run, but Strasburg’s performance definitely warranted the pies.
