I’ve always said that beer and pie go well together, but Portland brewers are really pushing the envelope. For the upcoming Portland Fruit Beer Fest (June 9 and 10), Ben Edmunds at Breakside Brewery, a fine establishment, literally brewed a beer with whole Strawberry Rhubarb Pies in it.
We’ve written about beers brewed with pie cherries and heard tale of beers that have “apple pie” essence, but I never thought I’d see this… best of both worlds!
UPDATE: FYI, I did go and try this very unique beer & did so enjoy it!
